Ningaloo Reef Dreaming is committed to providing
exceptional service and quality products. We endeavour to ensure that all
information and pricing on our website is true and correct. In the event of an
item not being available, we will attempt to notify you by 6pm the night
before.
Privacy policy
Ningaloo Reef
Dreaming is dedicated to keeping your details private. Any information we
collect in relation to you is kept strictly secured. We do not pass
on/sell/swap any of your personal details with anyone. We use this information
to identify your orders, provide you with our monthly newsletter (if
applicable) and to personalise your shopping experience with us; that's all.
Ningaloo Reef Dreaming uses cookies to allow you to login to your account,
maintain a shopping cart and to purchase items in your shopping cart. Cookies
sent to your computer from Ningaloo Reef Dreaming only last while you're
browsing our website. We do not store persistent cookies on your computer.
Cookies also allow us to give you a more personalised shopping experience by
displaying products that interest you throughout our product pages, thus
providing you with a more friendly, interesting and enjoyable shopping
experience.
Whenever you use
our website, or any other website, the computer on which web pages are stored
(the Web server) needs to know the network address of your computer so that it
can send the requested web pages to your Internet browser. The unique network
address of your computer is called its "IP address", and is sent automatically
each time you access any Internet site. From a computer's IP address, it is
possible to determine the general geographic location of that computer, but
otherwise it is anonymous.
We do not keep a
record of your IP addresses from which users access our site except where you
have specifically provided us with information about yourself, in which case we
also record your IP address for security purposes. An example of this would be
when proceeding to a checkout to finalise an order you may wish to make. After
completing the form provided, your IP address will be stored along with a
transaction number that allows us to track your order.
Security Policy
When purchasing
from Ningaloo Reef Dreaming your financial details are passed through a secure
server using the latest 128-bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption
technology. 128-bit SSL encryption is the current industry standard. If you

Refund Policy
General
- A cancellation fee of 25% applies to all
trips.
- Cancellations within 48 hours for any
reason will not be entitled to any refund unless due to medical reasons and a
doctor's certificate is provided. Date changes are allowed but not within 48
hours. If a customer decides to change the type of trip after commencement they
will not be entitled to a partial refund.
- I understand the tour I am booked on may
need to be cancelled or rescheduled because of the need for minimum passenger
numbers for it to run, and accept that NRD is not liable for any costs to me
associated with this.
Dive Trips
- I have informed NRD about any medical conditions/medication that may exclude me from diving. I acknowledge that I will not be entitled to any refund if I am taking medication which may exclude me from diving.
- I understand that, where applicable, the 3rd dive of the day is a "bonus dive" that might not be available due to diving conditions and circumstances during the day, and that I will not receive a refund if only 2 dives are done.
- I understand that unfavourable weather conditions may make the dive I am booked on less than optimal, and recognise this is outside of the control of NRD. I understand that NRD may need to cancel the dive trip or change the dive destinations and/or tour times due to conditions like weather/wind/seas or unforeseen events. I agree to accept NRD's choice of dive site. Whilst I will receive a refund for a cancellation, I acknowledge that I will not receive any refund if NRD elects to change the location of the day's diving.
- I acknowledge that I must produce a dive certification card on the day, and that "NO CARD NO DIVING!" applies. There will be no refund if this occurs. Computer printouts are acceptable.
- I acknowledge I need to provide
my completed dive logbook, or sign a declaration relating to this. If I haven't dived within the last 12 months,
or have not done a total of 40 dives, I recognise I will need to do a refresher
course for an additional AUD$95. If you do
not let NRD know this at the time of your booking, the refresher dive may not
be able to be done on the day of your trip. This means you will only be allowed
to snorkel.
Refunding cancelled tours booked as a
package.
In the
unfortunate event of unforseen events cancelling a tour booked as a package the
following refund calculation will apply. If no tour is completed in a package a
full refund will apply. Packages are
calculated to save you 10% off every tour in the package. If one or more tours
are cancelled then the discounted tour price (ie what you have paid) will be
refunded to you.
Dive
Courses
NRD
offers a partial refund, less any agent commissions for the following cases:
- The student suffers from a medical
condition contradictory to scuba diving and is unable to pass an Australian
Standard Dive Medical. NRD will require a copy of the medical report as a
condition to the refund. Charged at AUD$150 per day of the course completed.
- The student does not meet the Training
Agencies required waterman ship evaluation. i.e. cannot swim 200 metres or
cannot surface float for 10 minutes. Charged at AUD$150 per day of the course
completed.
- At the Instructors discretion, the
student is unable to satisfactorily complete any or all of the pool skills
required to complete their Open Water dive course. Charged at AUD$150 per day of the course
completed
NRD offers no refund for the following cases.
- You decide not to do the course
any more.
- Weather/factors beyond our control have
delayed the finishing of the course. You have to stay longer to finish it. No
exceptions, or we give you referral documentation.
- NRD offers no refund after 4.00pm on day 2. If the student
misses the boat for any reason there will be no refund under any circumstances.
If the student has missed the boat and wishes to complete the course they will
be charged a reschedule fee of AUD$220.
Some
examples of this:
- On day 3 you proceed to pick up your
student and find they are still sleeping after having a night on the town and
are in no condition to proceed safely with the trip on that day, they will
forfeit all monies paid. They will be able to pay a reschedule fee of AUD$220 if
they wish to travel out on the next available day to complete the course providing
there is space for them.
- After 4.00pm on day 2 the student has fallen sick and cannot
complete the course as they have other travel arrangements. They will not be entitled
to a refund but will be given a Universal Referral Form so that the student may
complete the course elsewhere. NRD will
give the student a letter so that the student can make a claim on their Travel
Insurance.
Seasickness
No
liability is taken by Ningaloo Reef Dreaming if you suffer from seasickness
which prevents you participating in the activity that you have booked for.
Navy
Pier
MUST HAVE
PHOTO IDENTIFICATION ON THE DAY (e.g. PASSPORT OR DRIVER'S LICENSE). A
AUD$25 taxi fee will apply if we have to pick up your card/photo ID whilst we are
in town. Once we have left town we can not offer this service due to time
constraints at the Pier (tide). If you are not permitted to enter the base for
any reason, NRD will phone a taxi for you to be picked up from the gate at the
base......at a cost to you. No refund for missing the dive.
Repeat Policy for Whale Shark Tours
In the
unlikely event that you do not get to swim with a whale shark the team at
Ningaloo Reef Dreaming would like to invite you back on board for another trip,
free of charge. This repeat is offered on the next available tour....it is not
transferable to another person. You are
able to book another tour in the names originally booked under for up to three
years. A DEC (Department Environment
& Conservation charge - not our charge) fee of AUD$25 is payable upon booking.
(DEC regulation). Please be aware that during school holidays availability of
repeat trips may be limited.
Automatic
Upgrade from Whale Shark Searcher to "Whale Shark Tour"
Once the whale sharks have been swum with
for 3 days in a row then your booked tour of "Whale Shark Searcher" will be
automatically upgraded to the full "Whale Shark Tour". Additional money will be
owed....AUD$200 extra.
Booking Conditions
General:
-I understand that unfavorable weather conditions may make the dive I am booked on less than optimal, and recognise this is outside of the control of Ningaloo Reef Dreaming. I understand that Ningaloo Reef Dreaming may need to cancel the dive trip or change the dive destinations and/or tour times due to conditions like weather/wind/seas or unforseen events. I agree to accept Ningaloo Reef Dreaming's choice of dive site. Whilst I will receive a refund for a cancellation, I acknowledge that I will not receive any refund if Ningaloo Reef Dreaming elects to change the location of the days tour.
- I understand that no liability is taken by Ningaloo Reef Dreaming in the event of damage, persoal loss, injury and sea-sickness.
- I understand that the tour I am booked on may need to be cancelled or reschedueled because of the need of minimum passenger numbers for it to run, and accept that Ningaloo Reef Dreaming is not liable for any costs to me associated with this.
- I understand that any equipment I use or borrow is my responsibility and I am financially responsible for any loss or damage.
- I have read and accepted Ningaloo Reef Dreaming's refund policy.
- I acknowledge that Ningaloo Reef Dreaming cannot guarantee specified interactions with marine life to occur on the day of my tour due to the creatures involved being wild or free animals.
Divers:
- I acknowledge that I must produce a dive certification card on the day or "NO CARD - NO DIVING" applies.Computer printouts are acceptable.
- I acknowledge I need to provide a logged dive within the last 12 months or sign a declaration relating to this. If I haven't dived within the last 12 months, have not done a total of 40 dives OR am not a certified Advanced Open Water Diver, I recognise I will need to do a refresher course for an additional AUD$95.
- I understand that, where applicable, the third dive of the day is a "bonus dive" that might not be available due to diving conditions and circumstances during the day, and that I will not receive a refund if only 2 dives are done.
- I have informed Ningaloo Reef Dreaming about any medical conditions/medications that may exclude me from diving.
- I acknolwedge I will have a surface interval of 18-24 hours after diving and before flying.
Navy Pier:
- I acknowledge that to dive the Navy Pier I must produce a dive certification card on the day of the dive. Computer printouts are acceptable.
- I must have photo identification on the day (e.g. passport or drivers license). A AUD$25 taxi fee will apply if we have to pick up your card/photo identifiaction.
- I understand that the Navy Pier can be challenging and that the divers will be entering the water via a giant stride entry of 1-3 metres in height, or by a relatively steep ladder, and that they will need to exit the water by this relatively steep ladder or via a beach exit.
- I understand divers will have to carry their own gear down a relatively steep long staircase to access the dive entry site.
- I am aware that I may be guided in a group of up to ten persons. This is due to restrictions of numbers at the Pier.
Night Dives:
- I acknowledge all of the above conditions, and declare I meet them wherever required. I commit to doing the day dive on the site of the night dive before attempting this dive. I acknowledge I will need to provide proof of a previous day dive on the Navy Pier during the previous 12 months, or make a statement to this effect. I have advanced certification or will do the dive accompanied by an Instructor.
